So here are the topics I write a little about.  If you’re interested in freediving, spearfishing, and cruising and sailing – you’ll find my thoughts on this stuff below.  It includes gear I use, stuff I’ve learned, and some general pointers that I’ve picked up along the way.  Bear in mind, I’m pretty new to sailing and cruising – but I’ve done my fair share of freediving and spearfishing.  The freediving gear guides and spearfishing gear guides will be of particular interest to those starting out or trying to choose the right gear, the first time.

Before The Nomad Trip kicked off, I wasn’t a sailor.  I’d sailed a couple of times, but mostly for fun in easy-sailing places.  So sailing and cruising are pretty new to me.  That said, I’m learning quickly and have some things to share – if you’re interested.

This is my real passion, and much of the reason I decided to go sailing and cruising.  I almost exclusively freedive spearfish, and I’m lucky enough to be sponsored by the biggest name in spearfishing – Rob Allen Spearfishing Gear.  I have a spearfishing gear guide that has a ton of info, if you’re interested.

If you’re curious about freediving, this is where I have written a little about it.  The reasons I chose it, and a freediving gear guide are in here.  This is a constant work in progress, so check back from time to time.

Sailing and Cruising

Sunshine and the Ocean

I’m no expert, but I have learned quite a bit in a short period of time.  If you’re curious about learning to sail and cruise, starting from scratch, you may enjoy some of my sailing posts and my Learning to Sail and Cruise section.
